Mining company Aztec Minerals announced plans to begin production by mid-2027. The company estimates the identified gold deposit holds nearly 2 million ounces.

Aztec Minerals is scheduled to release a new Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) study in the third quarter. This study is expected to provide further details on the project's economic viability and planned operational steps.

The company continues to focus on the development of its Tombstone project located in Arizona. Initiating production in 2027 is contingent upon further studies and permitting processes, with specifics to be detailed in the upcoming assessment.
