B. Braun Appoints New Board Members to Aesculap Division
B. Braun's surgical division, Aesculap, has appointed Professor Holger Reinecke and Andreas Hahn to its management board. The changes are effective July 1, 2022.

B. Braun announced on June 30, 2022, significant changes to the management board of its surgical division, Aesculap. Professor Holger Reinecke and Andreas Hahn have been appointed as new board members, effective July 1, 2022, following the earlier appointment of Dr. Jens von Lackum as CEO in April.
These appointments come as Dr. Katrin Sternberg, who previously oversaw Research & Development, Quality Management, Regulatory Affairs, and Medical Scientific Affairs, departs the board by mutual agreement due to differing views on the division's future strategic direction. The company expressed gratitude for her contributions.
Professor Reinecke will assume responsibility for Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, and the SCHÖLLY group of companies, continuing his role as CEO of SCHÖLLY. Andreas Hahn will manage Finance & Controlling, Quality Management, Central Technical Services, and Mergers & Acquisitions. B. Braun stated these moves strengthen the division's leadership for future challenges.
Reinecke brings extensive experience from his tenure at SCHÖLLY and his academic background in microsystems technology. Hahn has a long-standing career with B. Braun, spanning over 30 years, most recently as Senior Vice President of Finance & Controlling within Aesculap.
