Back Market, the marketplace for refurbished electronics, has announced the appointment of Christophe Curt as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Curt succeeds Clément Petit, who transitioned to the role of CEO on September 1, 2026. Additionally, Caroline Levard, who has led Back Market's legal function for over five years, has been appointed to the Executive Committee as Chief Legal and Corporate Affairs Officer.

Curt brings more than 20 years of financial experience to the role, having held leadership positions at companies such as Deloitte, Tyco, Sika, and PPG Industries. He previously served as CFO for Cromology and most recently for PMU. CEO Clément Petit stated that Curt's expertise will support Back Market's next phase of development and growth.

The addition of Levard to the Executive Committee reflects an increased focus on legal and regulatory matters. Since joining Back Market in 2020, Levard has expanded her responsibilities to encompass the company's legal, tax, public affairs, and sustainability initiatives. Her appointment recognizes the central role these functions play in the company's strategy.

These appointments are part of a broader leadership evolution at Back Market, which reported a profitable 2025 with gross merchandise volume (GMV) growth of 32% to over €3 billion. With Levard's inclusion, women now constitute five of the nine members of Back Market's Executive Committee.
