Badger Meter Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over Alleged Misleading Statements

A class action lawsuit has been filed against Badger Meter, Inc. (NYSE: BMI) by investors who allege the company misled shareholders about its financial performance and demand trends. The lawsuit was filed by law firm Robbins LLP.

The suit covers investors who bought or acquired Badger Meter stock between April 18, 2024, and April 16, 2026. Shareholders claim the company concealed weakening demand and deteriorating order trends while publicly stating that its strong financial results reflected positive industry trends and solid execution. The allegations suggest that Badger Meter's results were artificially boosted by pulling forward customer orders.

The truth reportedly began to emerge through a series of disappointing quarterly financial reports from July 2025 to April 2026. The company's first-quarter 2026 report, released on April 17, 2026, showed a 9% year-over-year sales decline and a significant drop in operating earnings and earnings per share. Following this announcement, Badger Meter's stock price fell by more than 24%.

Robbins LLP is seeking investors who lost money to come forward. Shareholders interested in serving as lead plaintiff must file their request with the court by August 3, 2026. Representation is on a contingency fee basis, meaning clients may not pay upfront fees or expenses.
