BAE Systems-built instruments launch on NASA's Roman Space Telescope

BAE Systems is marking the successful launch of NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, for which it developed key scientific instruments. These include the Wide Field Instrument (WFI) and the Coronagraph Instrument, crucial components for the observatory's mission.
The launch reinforces BAE Systems' position as a significant contributor to NASA's space exploration endeavors. The company has a history of providing technology for NASA's flagship observatories, having previously supported the Hubble and James Webb Space Telescopes.
The Roman Space Telescope is NASA's next astrophysics flagship observatory, designed to investigate dark energy and dark matter, as well as search for exoplanets. Its wide field of view is expected to enable more comprehensive sky surveys than previously possible, advancing cosmological and exoplanetary science.
