Baidu faces shareholder class action lawsuit over disclosure allegations
Shareholders have initiated a class action lawsuit against Baidu, Inc., alleging the company misled investors regarding the performance of its AI business unit.

Law firm Schall, Brown & Schwartz LLP (SBS) has announced a class action lawsuit against Baidu, Inc. regarding alleged violations of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The lawsuit centers on the company’s public disclosures between November 18, 2025, and August 17, 2026.
The complaint alleges that Baidu provided false and misleading information to the market, specifically regarding the capacity of its artificial intelligence business to offset declining revenue in its legacy marketing segment. Investors contend that the company’s statements concealed a projected financial downturn, resulting in losses once the underlying facts were disclosed.
Investors who purchased Baidu securities during the defined period have until November 13, 2026, to apply for the role of lead plaintiff. The lawsuit remains pending, as the court has not yet certified the class.
