Baidu Targets AI Top Tier and Hong Kong Listing
Baidu announced its AI model, Wenxin, aims to return to the industry's top tier, with plans for a primary listing in Hong Kong by year-end.

Chinese technology firm Baidu stated its AI model, Wenxin, is targeted to rejoin the top echelon of the artificial intelligence industry as the company continues to invest in model development. The company revealed these plans alongside its second-quarter earnings report.
Baidu reported a second-quarter revenue of 31.3 billion yuan. For the second consecutive quarter, AI-related businesses constituted more than half of the company's total revenue. The firm's GPU cloud revenue saw a significant increase of 283% year-over-year.
Additionally, Baidu intends to complete its primary listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange by the end of this year. The aspiration for Wenxin to regain a leading position in AI is presented as a stated objective rather than a finalized achievement.
