Bakkafrost Reports DKK 128 Million EBIT for Third Quarter 2026

Bakkafrost announced an operational EBIT of DKK 128 million for Q3 2026, driven by increased harvest volumes in the Faroe Islands and improved performance in its Scottish operations.

2 November 2026

Bakkafrost posted an operational EBIT of DKK 128 million for the third quarter of 2026, a significant increase from the DKK 22 million recorded in the same period last year. The company saw its Faroese harvest volumes grow by 24% year-to-date, supported by favorable biological conditions in the region.

In the Faroe Islands, the company generated revenues of DKK 1,436 million, up from DKK 1,405 million in 2025, with operational EBIT reaching DKK 267 million. Meanwhile, the FOF (Fishmeal, Oil and Feed) segment demonstrated substantial growth, more than doubling its operational EBITDA compared to the previous year.

The company reports progress regarding its strategic efforts in Scotland, specifically focusing on its large-smolt production initiative. Despite these gains, the firm notes a tightening market environment heading into the final quarter of the year. The overall financial results reflect a recovery from the prior year's lower baseline, supported by stable biological performance.
