Baltimore Community Foundation Announces 10 Neighborhood Spotlight Award Winners

The Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF) has announced the 10 winners of its 2026 Neighborhood Spotlight Awards. The program recognizes grassroots leaders who are making significant contributions to Baltimore neighborhoods.

Each award recipient will direct a $5,000 grant to a local nonprofit organization of their choice. Since its inception, the program has honored a total of 50 leaders.

The awards aim to support individuals driving positive change at the community level. Among this year's honorees is Terri Miller-Vaughn of Collington Square, recognized for transforming neglected spaces into areas of beauty and safety. Stephanie Bradshaw from Belair-Edison is also honored for creating opportunities for young people through leadership programs.

Other recipients include Linda Lynn Batts of Hanlon Park, who has championed historic preservation and improved collaboration among West Baltimore communities. Ida Mae “Mrs. Mae” Fliggins of Allendale has supported children and families for over 30 years through mentorship and community events. Evan Serpick of Reservoir Hill has strengthened connections between local organizations and residents, including establishing a food distribution site.

Dorian Walker of Sandtown-Winchester is also among the ten recognized for his work in trauma-informed care and promoting economic stability. The Baltimore Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization that connects individuals passionate about their community with purposeful philanthropy.
