Bambu Lab has launched the H3C, a new 3D printing system aimed at high-efficiency multi-material and multi-color production. The unit is currently retailing for 13,999 yuan in China, inclusive of government subsidies.

At the center of the machine is the Swaptek multi-head cutting system. It manages nine switchable print heads, each with an independent feeding and heating circuit. This architecture allows the printer to maintain continuous filament loading, reducing downtime associated with retracting and reloading materials. The company states that the system can execute a print head switch in 3.4 seconds.

The hardware includes the AMS 3H automatic material system and dual drying chambers capable of reaching 85°C to prevent moisture-related printing issues such as stringing or bubbles. The system allows for parallel connection of up to four AMS units, theoretically supporting up to 24-color output.
