Banco Sabadell and T-Systems partner on agentic AI deployment

Spanish banking group Banco Sabadell has partnered with Deutsche Telekom subsidiary T-Systems to deploy agentic artificial intelligence across its operations. The initiative aims to enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery for the group's seven million customers.

The bank will utilize the "T-AI Agentic Hub" platform developed by T-Systems. This architecture is designed to manage AI agents while adhering to strict governance and security protocols. A core focus of the partnership is technological independence; the open and modular design allows the bank to avoid vendor lock-in by selecting infrastructure and AI models that meet its specific compliance and performance requirements.

According to Banco Sabadell CTO Rüdiger Schmidt, the platform enables the integration of new functions into existing workflows, accelerating the bank's digital transformation. By utilizing an interoperable system, the organization retains control over its data and critical technology components.

The financial sector is increasingly moving AI applications from pilot programs into core business processes. This partnership establishes a framework for Banco Sabadell to scale its AI capabilities while ensuring compliance with European regulatory standards.
