Bantleon acquires majority stake in convertible bond specialist
Asset manager Bantleon is strengthening its bond management by acquiring a majority stake in Credit Suisse Investment Partners. The deal will increase Bantleon's assets under management to approximately EUR 25 billion.

Asset management company Bantleon is further strengthening its bond management capabilities with the acquisition of a majority stake in Credit Suisse Investment Partners AG. The agreement, signed in Zurich on May 30, 2024, is subject to regulatory approval.
Following the acquisition, the company, formerly known as Credit Suisse Investment Partners, will operate under the name Bantleon Convertible Experts AG. It currently manages around EUR 1 billion across four mutual funds and segregated accounts. This move will expand Bantleon's assets under management to approximately EUR 25 billion (CHF 24 billion) and assets under administration to roughly EUR 39 billion (CHF 38 billion).
Credit Suisse Investment Partners is recognized for its expertise in managing convertible bonds, particularly in the conservative segment in Europe. The flagship fund, CSIP (Lux) Global Investment Grade Convertible Bond Fund, holds a 5-star rating from Morningstar and has been awarded best fund in its category in Europe and Switzerland over a three-year period by Lipper Fund Awards.
Bantleon anticipates increased client interest in convertible bonds due to the return of interest rates and a positive equity market environment. The company confirmed that key personnel, including CEO Oliver Gasser and the portfolio management team, will remain with Bantleon Convertible Experts AG. This acquisition aligns with Bantleon's ambition to be a leading bond manager in the German-speaking region.
