Bantleon completes acquisition of convertible bond manager
Swiss regulator FINMA has approved Bantleon's acquisition of a majority stake in Credit Suisse Investment Partners Schweiz AG. The deal expands Bantleon's product offerings.
Hermann Bantleon GmbH has finalized the acquisition of a 62% majority stake in Credit Suisse Investment Partners Schweiz AG, which will be renamed Bantleon Convertible Experts AG. The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA has granted its approval for the transaction, with UBS AG serving as the seller.
The acquisition strengthens Bantleon's position in bond management and expands its product range to include award-winning convertible bond funds. The company anticipates a significant increase in assets under management.
Bantleon's assets under management (AuM) will grow by EUR 1 billion to EUR 25 billion, with total assets under administration (AuA) reaching approximately EUR 41 billion. The company will also add five employees, bringing its total headcount to around 150.
The acquired entity brings three highly-rated convertible bond funds into Bantleon's portfolio, including the Bantleon Global Convertibles Investment Grade fund. This fund received a five-star rating from Morningstar and was recognized at the Lipper Fund Awards in May 2024.
Credit Suisse Investment Partners Schweiz AG was founded in 2007 and possesses an experienced team of specialists. Key personnel from the previous management will continue in their roles to ensure the ongoing success and development of the business.
