Barksdale Control Products releases BT1 temperature transmitter
Barksdale Control Products has introduced the BT1 temperature transmitter, a stainless-steel sensor designed for high-cycle environments and hazardous locations.
Barksdale Control Products has launched the BT1 temperature transmitter, designed to monitor process temperatures ranging from -40°C to 200°C. The device utilizes a PT100 sensing element encased in stainless steel, engineered to withstand significant vibration and physical impact common in heavy industrial applications.
The transmitter is compatible with hazardous location standards, holding both CSA and ATEX certifications for use in explosive atmospheres. It features flexible analog output options, including 4–20 mA and voltage signals, and incorporates electrical protections such as reverse-polarity and overvoltage management.
According to Frieda Hovsepian, VP of Sales and Marketing, the product is intended to provide a cost-effective option for industrial operators requiring hazardous-area compliance. The BT1 is targeted at sectors including hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and natural gas infrastructure.
