Barry Minkow Launches Fraud News Network With AI Tool

Fraud investigator Barry Minkow has launched the Fraud News Network (FNN), a platform designed to provide investors with real-time information and tools for early detection of potential scams. The service integrates three core features: comprehensive news coverage of fraud from diverse sources, Minkow's original in-depth investigations, and a free AI-powered tool for assessing investment risks.

FNN aggregates information from a wide range of news outlets, regulatory bodies, and other trusted entities, offering users a centralized view of securities fraud, Ponzi schemes, and other investment-related warnings. Additionally, the network features Minkow's original investigations, leveraging his extensive experience in uncovering financial misconduct. These reports are now syndicated globally through Newstex.

Central to the network is the "First Look" tool, powered by Genspark's AI. Users can upload investment offering documents, such as private placement memorandums or pitch decks, and receive a free risk score between 1 and 10 within minutes. The AI analyzes the documents, identifying red flags like unrealistic return expectations, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or structural issues. The tool's methodology is based on fraud schemes previously exposed by Minkow.

Minkow stated that FNN aims to shift the scrutiny point from after a fraud occurs to the preventative stage. He emphasizes that while a free risk score does not replace professional advice, it can help investors identify potential risks before transferring funds. Since 2018, Minkow's work has reportedly helped expose over a dozen fraudulent schemes valued at more than $1.5 billion.
