Batch browser extension adds bulk editing to Google Photos
The browser-based tool Batch has introduced new features, including bulk photo editing and AI-driven image selection, designed to integrate directly with Google Photos.

Batch, a browser extension designed to supplement the functionality of Google Photos, has released an update aimed at closing gaps in the service's native features. The tool allows users to apply consistent edits across multiple images simultaneously, a capability not currently provided by the Google Photos interface.
In addition to bulk processing, the updated tool utilizes on-device AI to scan albums, group similar images, and suggest high-quality shots based on user-defined criteria. Because the extension operates entirely within the user's browser, the developers emphasize that photos are not uploaded to external servers, maintaining local privacy for image data.
The service operates on a tiered pricing model. Users can perform up to 25 bulk edits per month for free, while advanced features such as AI-assisted photo selection are locked behind a 'Plus' plan, priced at $7 per month or $55 annually. The extension is compatible with Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers.
