Batteries Plus Signs 19 New Franchise Agreements in Q3

Hartland, WI – Batteries Plus, a specialty retail store for batteries and power solutions, announced it signed 19 new franchise agreements during the third quarter of 2026. The company also opened 13 new locations across six markets, including Florida, Texas, and Utah.

This pace of expansion reflects a continuing growth trend for the company, which has signed between 60 and 70 new agreements this year. According to Batteries Plus, entrepreneurs recognize the potential in its business model and the strong return opportunities it offers. "The continued pace of growth we're seeing clearly reflects power and connectivity, and Batteries Plus is uniquely positioned to deliver both," said Victor Daher, Vice President of Global Franchise Development for Batteries Plus.

The company has implemented a new AI platform aimed at accelerating franchise growth and enhancing the in-store customer experience. The platform includes an AI agent named "Savannah" to answer potential franchisees' questions, a voice assistant named "Edison" to manage phone calls, and a search tool named "Wattson" to help customers find the right product. The technology has now been rolled out to all locations.

Batteries Plus was also ranked number 118 on the Franchise Times Top 400 list. Additionally, Stephen Lutfi, owner of a Batteries Plus store in Phoenix, was named Franchisee of the Year by the International Franchise Association. The company's marketing leaders, Sara Whiteleather and Chris McGee, also received recognition from industry publications.
