Battery Manufacturer UniverCell Expands Production to Kiel

Battery manufacturer UniverCell is establishing a new production line in Kiel, Germany, expanding its operations from its current facility in Flintbek.

The company plans to launch the new production line at its Kiel-Moorsee site in late summer. This strategic expansion aims to leverage Kiel's pool of highly educated workers, a key factor for the company's growth.

UniverCell specializes in producing cells for lithium-ion batteries. This expansion is part of a larger initiative that sees ten new companies in the renewable energy sector setting up in Schleswig-Holstein, collectively expected to create over 300 jobs.
