Baystate Health Oncologist Named Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology
Baystate Health's Vice President and Medical Director of Cancer Services, Rawad Elias, has been named a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (FASCO). The designation recognizes significant contributions and sustained volunteer leadership in the field.
Rawad Elias, MD, FASCO, Vice President and Medical Director of Cancer Services at Baystate Health, has been named a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (FASCO). This is one of the highest honors bestowed by the ASCO, recognizing sustained volunteer leadership and significant contributions to oncology.
The FASCO designation acknowledges ASCO members who have demonstrated extraordinary dedication through years of volunteer service, advancing the Society, the field of oncology, and patient care. It is awarded to members who have made substantial contributions through leadership, education, advocacy, and committee service.
Dr. Elias has held several leadership roles within ASCO. These include graduating from the ASCO Leadership Development Program, serving as Chair of the ASCO Self-Evaluation Program Item Writing Group, and being a member of the Clinical Practice and Innovation Committee, the Health Policy Committee, and the Health Outcomes Committee.
Dr. Elias will be formally recognized as a Fellow of ASCO at the 2027 ASCO Annual Meeting in Chicago. The FASCO designation provides lifetime recognition for sustained service and leadership within the oncology community.
