Boston Consulting Group (BCG) announced a $500 million commitment by 2030 to leverage artificial intelligence for social impact. The initiative aims to support organizations poised for large-scale change.

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has announced a significant commitment of $500 million by 2030, dedicated to advancing social impact through the use of artificial intelligence (AI). The program will focus on supporting organizations that have the potential to drive substantial, large-scale systemic change.
The initiative aims to assist philanthropic and non-profit organizations in scaling their operations and improving outcomes across various sectors, including education, workforce development, healthcare, and poverty reduction. This builds upon BCG's existing investments in social impact, having previously allocated over 3.5 million hours and more than $1.5 billion to related projects since 2020.
As an initial step, BCG is partnering with Anthropic. This collaboration will combine Anthropic's advanced AI models with BCG's consulting expertise, with the goal of delivering breakthrough results for up to 20 leading social impact organizations within the current year. The partnership will include access to and training with Anthropic's Claude models.
BCG CEO Christoph Schweizer highlighted AI as a "defining strategic priority of our time" and expressed a strong commitment to ensuring the social sector also benefits from AI's potential to address society's most challenging problems.
