BCG Launches Geopolitics Center to Aid Businesses

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) announced on June 19, 2024, the launch of its new Center for Geopolitics. This global initiative aims to help businesses navigate an increasingly complex and fragile international landscape.

The new center merges geopolitical expertise with BCG's analytical capabilities. Its objective is to assist business leaders in understanding, anticipating, and preparing for geopolitical shifts. The center will leverage BCG's Global Advantage practice and deep sector knowledge to offer data-driven analysis, scenario-based approaches, and clear business implications.

"Businesses are now placing geopolitics at the top of their agendas," stated Nikolaus Lang, managing director and senior partner at BCG and chair of the Center for Geopolitics. "The center will cut through the noise to deliver factual, tangible insights that empower executives to make confident decisions in line with business realities. A more fragmented world presents significant uncertainty and risks that businesses must address with the same urgency as digital disruption or the climate crisis."

BCG's research indicates that building "geopolitical muscle" is critical for globally operating companies. The center will provide tools and perspectives to help businesses manage supply chain risks, drive global growth, and establish resilient global operating models amid a dynamic geopolitical environment.
