BCG Named a Leader in AI Services by IDC MarketScape

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Artificial Intelligence Services 2025 Vendor Assessment. The report evaluated 20 vendors, placing BCG among the top service providers.

According to the assessment, BCG's strengths lie in its integration of strategic, functional, and industry expertise with deep organizational and process change capabilities. Its technology prowess, including its AI unit BCG X, helps clients scale AI value and transform into AI-first organizations.

IDC MarketScape specifically noted BCG's strategies in client adoption, growth, innovation, and research and development as key strengths. Customer feedback highlighted the firm's ability to apply industry-specific methodologies and its thought leadership on emerging AI topics.

BCG's framework for AI transformation is structured around three core plays: deploy (AI for productivity gains), reshape (AI-driven functional transformation), and invent (AI-powered business model innovation). This approach aims to guide organizations from AI experimentation to full-scale impact.

Vendors included in the assessment were required to have a minimum of $500 million in worldwide AI services revenue, offer AI services across the full business and IT services lifecycle for various industries, possess their own software assets, and maintain alliances with AI technology providers.
