BDO AG has launched the 'Exchange Next Gen' portal to centralize information sharing and project collaboration with clients.
German auditing and consulting firm BDO AG has introduced a new digital platform, Exchange Next Gen, designed to streamline data exchange between the company and its clients. The portal serves as a centralized hub for project-related communication, aiming to replace less secure traditional methods of data transfer.
The system enables client administrators to manage user access internally, allowing for granular control over project permissions. It supports single sign-on (SSO) integration via Microsoft Azure Active Directory, aligning with the IT infrastructure of many existing clients. According to the firm, core functionality is provided without additional fees, though special services or custom apps may incur separate charges.
In the context of the audit and advisory sector, where the exchange of sensitive financial data is frequent, the platform is intended to meet stringent data protection requirements. BDO notes that third-party access for maintenance is governed by strict confidentiality agreements and GDPR compliance standards.
