BDO exceeds 500 million euro revenue mark for the first time

BDO AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft has continued its growth trajectory, reporting a record revenue of 508.3 million euros for the 2024/25 fiscal year. This represents a year-on-year increase of 10.2%, marking the first time the company's revenue has surpassed the 500 million euro threshold. The firm has now recorded double-digit revenue growth for four consecutive years.

Digitalization and the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) have been identified as key drivers behind this expansion. The growth was evenly distributed across BDO's three core business segments. Audit & Assurance generated 223 million euros, an increase of 9.3%. Tax & Legal contributed 202 million euros with an 10.8% growth, and Advisory services saw the strongest percentage growth of 11.3%, reaching 82 million euros.

The company also expanded its workforce by 3.1% to over 3,350 employees across 28 locations in Germany. BDO has made significant investments in digital solutions and AI across all its business areas, aiming to enhance the quality and efficiency of its services. AI is being utilized to automate routine tasks, allowing audit professionals to concentrate on more critical aspects of their work.

In the Tax & Legal sector, BDO has developed an in-house technology platform that integrates tax, financial, and legal data to streamline processes and mitigate compliance risks. The Advisory segment is focusing on areas such as cybersecurity and business continuity, responding to growing market demand.
