Beehiiv creators express dissatisfaction with platform price increases
Beehiiv, a creator platform popular as an alternative to Substack, is increasing its prices. Many users have voiced unhappiness with the changes, particularly affecting the mid-tier Scale plan.
Beehiiv, a creator platform that has gained popularity as an alternative to Substack, has announced price increases that have prompted dissatisfaction among many users. Company co-founder and CEO Tyler Denk stated the adjustments are necessary to "continue investing in our core platform experience."
The changes include renaming the mid-range Scale plan to Lite. This plan's price has increased by at least $10 per month, depending on the subscriber count. For instance, creators with up to 10,000 subscribers will now pay $139 per month, up from $109.
The Pro plan, formerly known as Max, will also see a price hike to $239 per month for users with up to 10,000 subscribers. These adjustments come as Beehiiv competes in the growing market for creator economy tools.
