Beijing Enlight Media reports significant profit decline in first nine months of 2026
Chinese entertainment firm Beijing Enlight Media saw its net profit drop by 97.85% through September 2026, driven by a high-base effect from the previous year and investment losses.

Beijing Enlight Media reported revenue of 658 million yuan for the first nine months of 2026, marking an 81.79% decrease compared to the same period in 2025. Net profit attributable to shareholders stood at 50.1 million yuan, a decline of 97.85% year-over-year.
The sharp downturn is largely attributed to the absence of a major box-office hit that inflated the company's performance in 2025. Additionally, the firm's investment income from associates and joint ventures turned into a loss of 91.8 million yuan, exerting further downward pressure on the bottom line.
Operating cash flow for the period was negative 156 million yuan. While the company faces short-term volatility, management continues to advance a pipeline of animated and live-action projects intended to revitalize its market position in the coming quarters.
