Beijing Off-road BJ40 Extended Range Software Update Includes CarPlay
Beijing Off-road has released its first OTA update for the BJ40 Extended Range model featuring a 15.6-inch screen. The update adds Apple CarPlay and several new functionalities to the vehicle.
Beijing Off-road deployed its initial over-the-air (OTA) software update on September 24 for its BJ40 Extended Range model equipped with a 15.6-inch central display. The update is compatible with the Standard, Yuanjing Zhixing, Chitu, and Long Range versions.
The software package introduces several new features to the vehicle. These include the integration of雷石 KTV, support for Apple CarPlay, and a new interactive digital pet named "Qiqi" the panda. Additionally, the update incorporates an Automatic Emergency Steering Assist (AES) function and a "Sentry Mode" that can be remotely accessed via the Beijing Off-road app.
Further enhancements within the update focus on optimizing the vehicle's All-Terrain System (ATS) modes. The BJ40 Extended Range SUV has a starting price of 179,800 yuan, with body dimensions of 479019401964mm and a wheelbase of 2460mm.
The vehicle utilizes a 1.5T range-extender engine, providing an electric-only range of 252 km and a comprehensive range of up to 1300 km. This OTA update aims to enhance the user experience and connectivity options for BJ40 owners.
