Beijing Off-road to Open Pre-orders for New Tanta 700 SUV on July 21 with Huawei Tech

Beijing Off-road has announced that pre-orders for its new SUV model, the Tanta 700, will commence on July 21. The vehicle is set to be equipped with Huawei's ADS 5 advanced driving assistance system, offering sophisticated driver support functionalities.

The SUV's overall styling closely mirrors the BJ60 model, with the addition of a two-tone body color and multi-spoke wheels. An 896-line LiDAR unit is integrated into the roof, forming a key component of Huawei's advanced driving system, which encompasses navigation assistance for off-road, urban, and highway driving scenarios.

Official specifications indicate the vehicle measures 5040mm in length, 1959mm in width, and 1926mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2820mm. It will be powered by a 1.5T engine coupled with a dual-motor setup and will utilize a body-on-frame construction, a common feature in off-road vehicles.

Indications suggest the Tanta 700 will be priced above 400,000 yuan (approximately 51,000 euros). The introduction of the Tanta 700 is expected to introduce new competition within the premium SUV segment in the Chinese market, leveraging Huawei's advanced automotive technology.
