Preparations for Expo 2027 in Belgrade, Serbia, have entered an accelerated phase as the opening date of May 15, 2027, approaches. The project aims to host over 140 international participants and accommodate more than four million visitors throughout the duration of the event.
The expo is built around the theme "Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All," with officials planning approximately 8,000 individual events. This scale of programming is intended to highlight the city’s capacity to host large-scale global gatherings.
Beyond the event itself, the Serbian capital is utilizing the expo as a catalyst for urban development and tourism infrastructure. New exhibition facilities and improved transport links are currently under construction to support the influx of participants and provide long-term benefits to the local economy.
