Believe acquires majority stake in French label Jo&Co

Digital music company Believe has acquired a 51% majority stake in the French independent record label Jo&Co. This acquisition strengthens Believe's position in France, which is the world's sixth-largest music market, and diversifies the company's artist roster.

Jo&Co, specializing in pop and mainstream music, brings expertise in discovering new talent, including artists such as Claudio Capéo, Hoshi, and Les Frangines. The label aims to leverage Believe's digital expertise to accelerate its online growth and maximize digital revenues.

Sébastien Saussez, founder of Jo&Co, will continue to manage the label, maintaining its artistic direction. The partnership seeks to combine Jo&Co's talent discovery with Believe's technological platform to foster artist success both domestically and internationally.

Believe will handle the distribution for all of Jo&Co's artists and support their branding and live activities. The objective is to enhance the artists' reach and monetization within the evolving music landscape.
