Global artist development company Believe and music executive Az Cohen have launched AZTEC, a new record label based in the United States.
This joint venture marks Believe's first in the US market, blending Cohen's artist-centered approach to long-term career growth with Believe's extensive digital marketing capabilities and global reach. Az Cohen brings over a decade of experience in the independent music business, notably contributing to the growth of 300 Entertainment and Sparta Distribution, and was instrumental in the early career of Post Malone.
"Our joint venture with AZTEC reflects Believe’s continued commitment to building artist-first partnerships and supporting entrepreneurs who deeply understand the creative and cultural landscape," said Romain Vivien, Believe’s Global Head of Music.
AZTEC aims to foster a culture driven by artistry, individuality, and long-term vision. The label will provide artists access to Believe's global network, enabling them to share their stories with new fans worldwide. Cohen and his team will operate out of Believe's New York City offices.
