Music distribution company Believe has reported signing a record number of new agreements with prominent independent artists and labels in the first quarter of 2021, expanding its global reach.

Music technology company Believe announced it signed a record number of new agreements with independent artists and labels globally in the first quarter of 2021. The company stated it is strengthening its market-leading position by signing deals with internationally recognized artists, including James Morrison and Sabaton, as well as influential labels such as Communion Records and Cr2 Records.
Believe described its revamped model as attractive to artists and labels seeking a partner specialized in digital distribution. CEO Denis Ladegaillerie commented that artists and labels are looking for a different kind of relationship with industry players, prioritizing digital expertise and improved economic terms.
The Q1 2021 period was Believe’s most prolific quarter to date, demonstrating the company’s model aligns with the transforming music market. The company reported signing a significant number of new partners in Southeast Asia and Russia, with over 350 new independent artists and labels joining its network in Asia alone.
Believe also announced new agreements with Polish entity ZPR Media and Russian act Poshlaya Molly. The company is also renewing long-term deals with established entities like Turkish company Avrupa Müsik and UK-based group Anglo.
