Bendixen Expands Retail Operations With Canon Printing Solutions

Danish signage specialist Bendixen, which supplies over 40 retail chains, has bolstered its retail presence through the adoption of Canon's large-format printing solutions. The company has established an in-house production model focused on delivering reliable, high-speed, and quality output.

Morten Vammen, Commercial Director at Bendixen, highlighted the critical importance of color consistency. "We achieve consistent color quality every time," Vammen stated. "This uniformity is crucial for retail chains, and Canon ensures it reliably."

The acquisition of a Canon Colorado UVgel roll-to-roll printer proved pivotal for Bendixen's growth. This technology allows for high-speed printing on media up to nearly 160 cm wide while maintaining exact color fidelity. This predictability minimizes risks for large retail launches and facilitates repeat business.

Integrating the Canon Arizona flatbed printer has unlocked new applications, including the production of decorative panels and acoustic solutions. An integrated workflow using an ONYX-based system ensures production remains efficient and scalable. Advanced capabilities with PRISMAelevate XL now enable specialized prints such as tactile finishes and Braille.

Bendixen reports significant operational efficiencies, including up to twice the speed for roll production, approximately 50% less ink consumption, and overall ink cost savings of around 40%. These savings allow for investment in research and development and faster response times to client demands. The collaboration with Canon provides Bendixen with expertise and support, ensuring complete control over their production processes.
