Benewake releases SR series LiDAR sensors for mobile robotics
Beijing-based Benewake has introduced its new SR series of 3D LiDAR sensors, featuring compact designs tailored for mobile robot integration.
Benewake has launched the SR series, a new product line of 360-degree 3D LiDAR sensors designed to support the navigation systems of mobile robots. The series consists of the SR18, an 18-channel unit, and the SR96, which features 96 channels.
The company confirmed that the SR18 model has entered mass production as of late October. The series emphasizes compact physical dimensions and power efficiency, addressing common hardware constraints in autonomous mobile platforms.
As the robotics industry continues to focus on miniaturization and longer operation times, high-performance sensing remains a competitive segment. These sensors are intended to provide comprehensive environmental awareness for robots operating in complex, dynamic workspaces.
