Electronics manufacturer BenQ has introduced the PV3250U monitor, a new display targeted at professional users. The device features a 31.5-inch 4K panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, focusing on maintaining color accuracy throughout the entire workflow, a critical aspect for fields such as graphic design and video editing.
The BenQ PV3250U undergoes factory calibration for each unit, promising a color accuracy of Delta E ≤ 1. It offers a contrast ratio of 3000:1 and a black level of 0.03 nits. The monitor supports 10-bit color depth and utilizes a 16-bit 3D LUT for precise color management, aiming to reduce color banding and mapping errors. Users can also simulate color profiles from specific Apple devices like MacBooks and iPhones.
Included with the monitor is a magnetic hood to reduce ambient light interference. It covers 100% of the sRGB color space and 99% of the DCI-P3 color space. A wireless "Hot-Key Puck" controller facilitates easy adjustments to brightness, color space, and signal sources. The display also supports KVM functionality and offers height adjustment and a pivot feature.
