Bentley Torcal: First Use of 100% Merino Wool in Vehicle Interior
Bentley is revealing interior details for its upcoming all-electric vehicle, Torcal. The model will feature a 100% Merino wool interior, marking a first for the automotive industry.

Automaker Bentley has released further details about its forthcoming all-electric vehicle, Torcal, ahead of its official launch. The latest information focuses on the car's interior, which will incorporate 100% Merino wool for the first time.
Developed in partnership with British textile manufacturer Fox Brothers, the new Merino wool fabric is engineered to meet the rigorous demands of luxury automotive interiors. Bentley highlights the material's softness and warmth, noting that its use in vehicles has previously been limited by durability concerns.
The Merino wool interior for Torcal will be available in six curated color schemes, designed to offer depth and a sophisticated aesthetic through complementary tones. The vehicle will also feature a new gradient wood veneer, constructed from sustainably sourced walnut scraps and recycled paper, layered to create a unique visual effect.
Bentley Torcal is expected to share underpinnings with the electric Porsche Cayenne. While full performance and battery specifications remain undisclosed, the car is anticipated to produce around 800 horsepower. Final details are scheduled for release on September 23.
