Bentley unveils Torcal electric vehicle

Automaker Bentley has officially unveiled its first all-electric model, the Torcal, at an event in Monterey, California.

Named after a Spanish rock formation, the Torcal incorporates design elements from the earlier EXP 15 concept but presents a more production-ready appearance. The vehicle is smaller than the Bentayga and is anticipated to be priced below that model. Specific pricing for the U.S. market has not yet been released.

Technically, the Torcal shares underpinnings with Porsche models within the Volkswagen Group. The standard version offers 810 horsepower and 880 lb-ft of torque, enabling a 0–60 mph acceleration in 3.3 seconds. The more powerful Torcal S variant delivers 875 horsepower and 995 lb-ft of torque, capable of reaching 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 162 mph.

Bentley has yet to announce the official release date or full specifications for the Torcal in the North American market.
