Berlin Brandenburg Airport Opening Delayed

The opening of Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) has been significantly delayed. Following the postponement of the original June 2012 opening date, the new operational start date has been set for October 27, 2013.

Flights and hotel bookings to Berlin will continue under existing arrangements for now. Travelers with tickets already issued do not need to make changes, as existing tickets will remain valid upon the transition.

The construction and planning phases of the airport have encountered several challenges, leading to repeated delays. The initial opening date was slated for June 3, 2012, but this had to be rescheduled due to technical difficulties.
