Bernina of America Introduces Limited Edition Sewing Machines in Collaboration with Liberty of London
Bernina of America has launched two new, limited-edition sewing machines, the Liberty Edition, a collaboration with Liberty of London. The machines merge Bernina's Swiss engineering with iconic Liberty fabric designs.

Bernina of America has introduced two new, limited-edition sewing machine models, the BERNINA Liberty Edition, as a collaboration with the London-based design house Liberty. These machines are designed to celebrate creativity, craftsmanship, and style.
The two models, the B 495 Liberty Edition for sewing and quilting and the embroidery-capable B 580 Liberty Edition, combine Bernina's renowned Swiss engineering and quality with Liberty's iconic fabric patterns. Both machines feature a distinctive Liberty print on their faceplates and will be available through authorized BERNINA dealers starting in August.
The partnership brings together two brands with 19th-century origins and a shared commitment to quality and creativity. BERNINA, founded in 1893, is known for its precision and high-quality sewing machines, while Liberty, established in 1875, is a globally recognized design and fabric brand with a rich history of hand-drawn patterns and an extensive archive.
The B 495 Liberty Edition includes 32 decorative stitches and an easy-to-navigate color touch screen. The B 580 Liberty Edition further adds embroidery capabilities, a larger embroidery area, and other advanced features. Both models come with a matching trolley and dust cover.
The collection was first unveiled at BERNINA University 2026 in New Orleans. The BERNINA 495 Liberty Edition is priced at $3,749, and the BERNINA 580 Liberty Edition is priced at $6,999.
