Besins Healthcare Acquires UniD Manufacturing to Strengthen Drug Development

Besins Healthcare announced on July 2, 2026, its acquisition of UniD Manufacturing, a Belgium-based pharmaceutical development and manufacturing firm. The move is aimed at strengthening Besins' long-term innovation capacity within the hormone health sector.

UniD Manufacturing brings over two decades of expertise in long-acting drug delivery systems and advanced polymer-based pharmaceutical formulations. This acquisition grants Besins Healthcare access to a specialized development and manufacturing platform capable of supporting complex pharmaceutical technologies.

Renamed Besins Healthcare PharmTech, the Seraing, Belgium-based entity, which includes 52 skilled professionals, will serve as a center of excellence for innovation and future development projects. UniD will continue to serve its existing clients and partners during the transition.

With revenues exceeding €700 million in 2025, Besins Healthcare continues to invest in capabilities to support the future of hormone health. The company stated that the acquisition merges complementary expertise, combining Besins' knowledge of hormone therapies and global reach with UniD's technological and manufacturing proficiency.
