Besqab and Wallin Bostad form joint venture for Stockholm housing project
Besqab and Wallin Bostad have launched a joint venture to develop the Margo residential project, consisting of 110 apartments in Stockholm's Årstafältet district.

Swedish property developers Besqab and Wallin Bostad have entered into a 50/50 joint venture to deliver a new residential project named Margo. Located in the Årstafältet area of southern Stockholm, the development will feature approximately 110 apartments housed across five buildings, with additional ground-floor space allocated for commercial use.
The collaboration takes place against the backdrop of Stockholm's ongoing efforts to densify the Årstafältet area. By pooling resources and expertise, the two companies aim to mitigate the financial risks currently associated with large-scale residential development in the Swedish market.
While the market for new housing in Sweden has cooled significantly due to interest rate fluctuations, this joint venture suggests a continued interest in strategic land development within key urban corridors. The companies have not disclosed specific project timelines, but the initiative signifies a commitment to the regional housing supply.
