Bessemer Venture Partners Raising $5.8 Billion for Startups

Bessemer Venture Partners, a US-based venture capital firm, is raising $5.75 billion through two new funds aimed at supporting startups from seed to growth stages. The firm noted that artificial intelligence is altering the speed at which companies are developed and the duration of their private status.

The firm has closed $1.75 billion for seed and early-stage investments and $4 billion for a new growth fund. This growth vehicle is intended to facilitate larger investments in existing portfolio companies as well as new deals.

Bessemer stated that the new capital will enable more investments in Israel, where it has been operating since 2007. To date, the firm has backed approximately 80 startups in the country, including DriveNets, Port, and Upwind.

Adam Fisher, the partner who established Bessemer's Israel operations, commented that the firm has doubled its investment pace in Israel over the past two years, spanning from seed through growth-stage companies.
