Best Buy selling RTX 5080 for more than RTX 5090 MSRP

US retailer Best Buy has set the price for the Asus ROG Astral RTX 5080 OC at $2,099. This marks the first instance of a major US retailer directly selling an RTX 5080 graphics card for more than the $1,999 Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of the RTX 5090, reports VideoCardz.

The ROG Astral RTX 5080 OC now carries a price tag 40 percent higher than its initial launch price of $1,499. It also costs more than double the $999 MSRP for the RTX 5080 Founders Edition.

According to VideoCardz, this specific Asus model is currently the only RTX 5080 directly offered by Best Buy priced above the RTX 5090's MSRP. Other RTX 5080 GPUs remain available at significantly lower prices from various retailers, including from Asus itself, which lists the ROG Astral RTX 5080 OC for $1,899.
