Beyon expands green data center capacity with solar investment
Technology group Beyon is adding a third data center powered entirely by renewable energy following the latest phase of its solar infrastructure program.

Beyon has announced the expansion of its green data center portfolio, bringing the total number of facilities powered by renewable energy to three. The development is part of the fifth phase of the company's solar park program, implemented in partnership with Almoayyed Solar.
The project involves an investment of approximately 544,500 BD and spans 14,000 square meters, utilizing 2,292 solar panels with a capacity of 1.5 MWp. Once operational, the facility is projected to generate 2.5 GWh of clean energy annually, offsetting over 1,585 tons of CO₂ emissions each year.
Beyon Group CEO Andrew Kvaalseth stated that integrating sustainable power into critical infrastructure is essential to support the digital economy. The company aims to balance the rising demand for cloud and digital services with a commitment to resilient, low-carbon operations.
This move builds on previous sustainability initiatives, including the successful conversion of the Total CX customer contact center to renewable power earlier this year. The ongoing program aligns with broader regional objectives to enhance infrastructure efficiency and meet ESG benchmarks.
