Beyon expands green data centre portfolio in Bahrain
Beyon has announced that its third data centre will operate on renewable energy following the latest expansion of its solar power infrastructure.

Technology group Beyon confirmed the expansion of its green data centre operations during the Gateway Gulf 2026 event. The move marks the completion of the fifth phase of the company's solar park program, which aims to power critical digital infrastructure using renewable sources.
Developed in partnership with Almoayyed Solar, the project represents an investment of approximately BD544,500. The installation spans 14,000 square metres and utilises 2,292 solar panels with a capacity of 1.5 MWp. The facility is expected to generate 2.5 GWh of clean energy annually, reducing carbon emissions by more than 1,585 tonnes per year.
Beyon CEO Andrew Kvaalseth stated that the integration of sustainable power is essential for the expansion of digital services. Beyond data centres, the company has also transitioned its customer service hub to renewable energy. This multi-year program serves as part of the company's efforts to align its infrastructure development with national ESG targets.
