Organizers stated the delay is intended to allow for greater international participation in the physical event. The extension from two to three days aims to provide more opportunities for attendees to explore and connect.
The expo is expected to draw over 20,000 attendees and host more than 1,000 exhibitors, including Fortune Global 500 companies, multinational corporations, and startups. Companies such as CP Group, Foxconn, BMW, Huawei, and AliCloud have been mentioned in discussions regarding participation.
BEYOND Expo focuses on technology's impact on business and its role in addressing global sustainability challenges. The event will feature vertical technology forums covering topics including green economy, agri-tech, medtech, healthtech, life sciences, future mobility, smart cities, 5G IoT, fintech, and smart living.
Macao's government supports the expo as part of its strategy to become a global technology hub. The city's favorable trade and tax policies are also expected to facilitate international companies' access to the Asia-Pacific market through Macao.
