Biggest Funding Rounds: AI and Energy Lead Busy Week
This week's largest U.S. startup funding rounds featured AI and energy companies, with Axiom Solutions International securing $2 billion for AI-enabled infrastructure.

The largest U.S. startup funding rounds this week were dominated by artificial intelligence and energy sector companies. Axiom Solutions International, which focuses on cloud and power infrastructure to support the AI buildout, raised $2 billion. The company is a spinout from Flex and is expected to become an independent publicly traded entity early next year.
Investment in AI startups continues to be strong. TypeSafe AI, developer of the new AI model Jev, raised $870 million, reportedly with Andreessen Horowitz as the lead investor. Oratomic, a startup focused on quantum computing, secured $475 million in new funding from multiple investors, including Arch Venture Partners and Khosla Ventures.
Other significant rounds included SignSplit, a provider of tools for data protection and licensing for the AI era, which raised $400 million. Vinci, an AI platform for hardware engineers, closed a $250 million Series B funding round, and Atomic Machines, working on AI-native manufacturing systems, also raised $250 million.
In the energy sector, Voltus, a provider of a distributed energy platform to enhance grid flexibility, received $225 million in Series D funding. Type One Energy, a developer of fusion energy technology, secured $200 million. Ledgebrook, an AI-powered specialty insurance platform, raised $200 million, and Arena, a platform for evaluating AI models, pulled in $200 million.
