Industrial services provider Bilfinger has entered into a five-year framework agreement with Harbour Energy Germany, with an option for a two-year extension. The contract includes engineering, maintenance, and safety services for natural gas and crude oil production facilities located in northwestern Germany.
The agreement focuses on the continuous optimization of production facilities and natural gas compressor stations. The stated goals are to improve asset performance, operational safety, and plant efficiency across Harbour Energy's German operations.
Bilfinger's scope of work encompasses preventive maintenance, engineering for plant modifications and optimization, repairs, expansions, and mechanical installations. This also includes electrical, instrumentation, control systems, and piping work. Additionally, the company will provide specialized safety services, such as safety advisors and on-site fire department staffing.
Harbour Energy is described as one of the world's leading independent oil and gas companies and is among the largest producers of natural gas and crude oil in Germany. Bilfinger stated that the new agreement builds upon their long-standing experience at the sites and their specialized expertise in the oil and gas sector.
