BilibiliWorld 2026 attracts 400,000 visitors, becoming Asia's largest ACGN convention
Bilibili's three-day ACGN convention, BilibiliWorld 2026, concluded on July 12 with 400,000 attendees from over 30 countries, marking it as Asia's largest event of its kind. The convention also provided a significant economic boost to Shanghai.

BilibiliWorld 2026 (BW2026), the video platform's annual ACGN convention, concluded on July 12 after three days, attracting 400,000 visitors. Held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, the event spanned 240,000 square meters, establishing itself as the largest ACGN convention in Asia.
The convention saw attendees from more than 30 countries and regions, expanding its international reach. It featured 170 exhibitors and over 60,000 cosplayers. Notably, tickets were sold outside mainland China for the first time, drawing a diverse global audience.
BW2026 also generated substantial economic activity in Shanghai. Travel data indicated a 35% increase in international flight bookings to the city, a 126% month-on-month rise in hotel reservations citywide, and a dramatic 600% surge in bookings within a 5-kilometer radius of the convention center.
Since its inception in 2017, BilibiliWorld has grown from a niche gathering into a significant global event, mirroring the expansion of the ACGN industry. It serves as a vital platform fostering community and shared interest among enthusiasts worldwide.
