The three-day BilibiliWorld 2026 (BW2026) convention, hosted by Bilibili, concluded on July 12 in Shanghai, drawing more than 400,000 attendee visits. The event, spanning eight halls at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), has been recognized as Asia's largest ACGN (Anime, Comics, Games, Novels) convention.

BW2026 featured 170 exhibitors from around the world, nearly a thousand anime-themed vehicles, and over 60,000 cosplayers. This year marked the first time BilibiliWorld offered tickets for purchase outside mainland China, expanding its geographic reach to over 30 countries and regions.

The convention's impact extended beyond the ACGN community, significantly benefiting participating brands and Shanghai's local economy. Data from travel platforms indicated a 35 percent year-on-year increase in international flight bookings to Shanghai during the event. Citywide hotel bookings rose 126 percent from the previous month, with hotels within a 5-kilometer radius of the convention center experiencing a 600 percent surge.

Since its inception in 2017, BilibiliWorld has grown from a fan gathering into a significant global ACGN event. It serves as a platform for enthusiasts worldwide to connect through shared passions, transcend language barriers, and foster an open and inclusive community, reflecting the broader growth of the global ACGN industry.
